Back to brainstorming

Remember the thank you magnets I include in my etsy orders?
Thank you gifts
I need to come up with something equally handmade and charming, but much less time consuming. The previous magnets include the tedious image transfers, at least 2 bakings, sanding to shape the edges...sometimes they are more labor intensive than the item purchased! So I've been brainstorming. Well....trying to brainstorm.

I adore the idea of clay embellished with beads and/or wire. I think they are a fabulous couple! And you KNOW how much I love black & white borders....so I thought a beaded border would be cute.

WRONG!! Not at all like I imagined. First I tried larger seed beads. Size 8/0's I think. They looked goofy. So here are the 11/0's. I don't like them either. Maybe b/c the magnet is too thick?
It reminds me of one of those rolling hand drums or something. I'm not quite sure what exactly it is...but I don't like it.

BUT!! I got to use the letter stamps I got back at xmas! LOL! Now...back to the drawing board.

do you have something like your own symbol .. so you can make not just Thank you, but and yours signature .. so people who going to see you magnets and like it they will know who they have to looking for ...and you don't have to make it to fancy...maybe some small accents.. like a flower or something ....

That is a GOOD idea, thank you!
I'm afraid I don't have a symbol. The old magnets had my etsy store name on the back....but I can't do that with the letter stamps. (name is too long)
I will ponder your idea though...thanks!

Hey Christie! I like your idea of giving a little thank you gift.

What about if you get a small rubber stamp of a dragonfly and stamp that and your thank you into a piece of faux stone or marbled clay? You could rub paint into the stamp to antique it and make the image and words stand out.

This kind of magnet could then be put in a rock tumbler to sand and you could then give it a quick buff with your buffing wheel.

I agree your bonus gift shouldn't take more time to make than the purchases! Love to see what you come up with! :-)

I have to agree! Something with a dragonfly. You have enough to do with the kids and all with out worrying about making a time consuming thank you gift!I don't do that anymore..eats into what small profit I make. I just have someone make me up cute pink and brown tags with a ribbon and thank them for their purchase.
